Police Story 3: Super Cop is a 1992 martial arts action film directed by Stanley Tong, and starring Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, and Maggie Cheung. It is the third installment in the Police Story series and was filmed in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the film, Jackie Chan plays Hong Kong police detective Chia Chu, who is tasked with teaming up with his Red Chinese counterpart, Inspector Jessica Yang (played by Yeoh), to bring down a powerful drug lord named Panther (played by Yuen Wah). The two must go undercover and infiltrate Panther's organization, which involves dangerous stunts and thrilling action scenes, including a high-speed motorcycle chase and a stunt where Chan jumps from a helicopter onto a moving train.
Throughout the film, Chia Chu and Inspector Yang develop a budding romantic relationship despite their initial animosity towards each other. They also have to deal with corrupt officials and internal politics within their respective police departments.
The film was a commercial success both in Hong Kong and internationally, grossing over HK$35 million at the Hong Kong box office and becoming one of Jackie Chan's most popular films. The stunt work and action scenes received critical acclaim and helped establish Michelle Yeoh as a major action star in her own right.
