During the harvest festival, Ash and his friends participate in the Pokémon Tournament and meet a young boy named Carlita who tells them about the legend of the Sword of the Vale. She explains that whoever wields the sword can control the legendary Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom, who were once one entity, but split and became separate entities due to the war between the People of the Vale and the Kingdom of the Vale.
Meanwhile, Damon and his followers arrive in Eindoak and try to steal the Sword of the Vale from the city's mayor, Mannes. However, the plan fails when Victini uses its powers to protect the sword and transfers its powers to Ash's Pikachu, giving him the ability to control both Reshiram and Zekrom.
Damon manages to capture Victini and uses it to power the Sword of the Vale, which causes a massive earthquake and threatens to destroy the entire region. Ash, along with Reshiram and Zekrom, battle against Damon's forces to prevent his plan from succeeding and rescue Victini.
In the end, Ash and his friends manage to retrieve the Sword of the Vale and free Victini. The people of Eindoak celebrate the harvest festival and honor Victini as a hero for saving their city. Reshiram and Zekrom return to their original state, and the legend of the Sword of the Vale continues to live on.
