Play Dirty is a 1969 war film directed by Andre De Toth and starring Michael Caine, Nigel Davenport, and Nigel Green. The story follows Captain Douglas (Caine), a former safecracker, who is recruited by Major Simon Rose (Davenport) to lead a team of condemned soldiers known as the "Dirty Dozen" on a mission behind enemy lines. Their objective is to disrupt German supply lines in North Africa during World War II.
Along the way, Douglas and his team encounter Captain Cyril Leech (Green), a British Petroleum executive who has been assigned to work with the British Army handling port duties for incoming fuels. Leech is initially skeptical of Douglas and his men, but eventually joins forces with them when he realizes the importance of their mission.
As they journey through the harsh desert terrain, the team faces numerous obstacles and dangerous situations, including being captured by German troops and facing punishment in a brutal POW camp.
