Planes: Fire & Rescue is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by DisneyToon Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is a sequel to the 2013 film Planes and the second installment in the Planes franchise.

The film picks up after the events of the previous movie, where Dusty Crophopper, a small-town crop-dusting plane, has become a successful air racer. However, he discovers that his gearbox is damaged and he may never race again. In search of a new purpose, Dusty decides to become a firefighter to assist a team of rescue vehicles known as The Smokejumpers.

Dusty travels to the Piston Peak National Park where he meets Blade Ranger, a veteran fire and rescue helicopter, and his team – the Smokejumpers, which includes air tanker Dipper, heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, smokejumper Cabbie, and oldest and wisest member of the team, Smokejumpers' leader, Mayday. Together, they battle a massive wildfire that threatens to destroy the entire park.

As they work together to extinguish the flames and save the animals and visitors trapped in the park, Dusty quickly learns that being a firefighter requires more than speed and agility. He must overcome his fears and insecurities while facing the daunting task of risking his own life to save others.

The film features an ensemble voice cast including Dane Cook as Dusty, Ed Harris as Blade Ranger, Julie Bowen as Dipper, Hal Holbrook as Mayday, and Wes Studi as Windlifter. It received mixed reviews from critics but was a moderate box-office success.
