Plan 9 from Outer Space is a low-budget science fiction horror film directed by Ed Wood. Released in 1959, it has gained a reputation as one of the worst movies ever made. The film stars Bela Lugosi, who died before filming was completed. Wood used footage of Lugosi that had been shot for another film to complete his role.

The film begins with the funeral of an old man named Jeff Trent's wife, who died in a car accident. On the same day, Trent and his colleague, Lieutenant John Harper, spot a UFO in the sky. Later that night, the aliens resurrect Trent's wife and the dead Inspector Clay, whom they use to carry out their plan to stop mankind from developing the Solobonite bomb.

The aliens, who are from a far-off planet, believe that the bomb, if used, would destroy the entire universe. They have been monitoring Earth for a long time and have concluded that the only way to stop the development of the bomb is to take control of Earth and its inhabitants.

The aliens' plan is to raise the dead from their graves and use them as an army to carry out their mission. The resurrected dead, controlled by the aliens, start attacking the living, causing panic and chaos.

The main characters, including a pilot named Jeff Trent and his wife, try to fight back against the aliens and the resurrected dead. They eventually discover the aliens' plan and try to stop them before it's too late.

Despite its low production values, the film has become a cult classic, known for its cheesy acting, dialogue, and special effects. It is often cited as an example of how NOT to make a movie.
