In Pistol Whipped, Steven Seagal plays a character named Matt Conlin, who used to work as an NYPD detective but is now struggling to make ends meet as a private detective and gambler. He owes a lot of money to different people and is constantly hounded by his creditors.
One day, he meets a man named Drea, who offers to clear all of his debts in exchange for assassinating five notorious criminals in the city. Conlin is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees to the deal.
Conlin starts carrying out his missions, but soon realizes that things are not as straightforward as they seem. He begins to question the motives of his employer and suspects that he might be caught in the middle of a larger conspiracy.
