Horror,Thriller,Science Fiction,Comedy  United States of America

Piranha is a 2010 horror film directed by Alexandre Aja and written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger. The film follows a group of tourists who arrive at the Lake Victoria resort, with a swarm of prehistoric piranhas being released into the lake. When an earthquake causes a fissure in the lake floor, the piranhas are set free, and they quickly begin to attack and kill anyone in their path.

The main characters of the movie include the sheriff, Julie Forester, played by Elisabeth Shue, who tries to save the guests from the deadly fish. Actor Adam Scott plays a seismologist who discovers the fissure, and actress Jessica Szohr plays a local wild party girl. Jerry O'Connell plays a sleazy adult film producer whose boat is attacked by the piranhas, resulting in a gruesome and bloody scene.

The film is known for its graphic violence and gore, with many scenes featuring the piranhas attacking their victims in brutal and bloody ways. Despite its violent content, the film received generally positive reviews for its campy humor and over-the-top action sequences.

Piranha was a commercial success, grossing over $83 million worldwide. The film spawned a sequel, Piranha 3DD, which was released in 2012 and featured a similar premise, with the piranhas attacking a water park.
