Pillow Talk is a classic romantic comedy film released in 1959, directed by Michael Gordon and starring Doris Day, Rock Hudson, and Tony Randall. The story revolves around two individuals, Jan Morrow (played by Doris Day) and Brad Allen (played by Rock Hudson), who share a telephone line in their New York City apartments. Jan is an interior decorator while Brad is a womanizer and songwriter.

The two are constantly bickering and arguing over the phone, with Jan complaining about Brad's constant talking and flirtatious behavior with women. However, Brad decides to have a little fun and begins disguising his voice, pretending to be someone else entirely. He starts romancing Jan over the phone, calling himself Rex Stetson, a wealthy Texan who sweeps her off her feet with his southern charm and good looks.

Jan falls for his charms, unaware that he is Brad, and they even arrange a date. However, when Brad shows up, Jan realizes the truth and is furious with him for deceiving her. However, Brad is determined to win her over, and the two end up falling in love for real.

The film was a huge commercial success and won an Academy Award for Best Writing, Story, and Screenplay, while Doris Day was nominated for Best Actress. It is considered one of the defining films of the Golden Age of Hollywood and a classic example of the romantic comedy genre.
