The movie Philophobia tackles the fear of commitment and falling in love, as experienced by a mildly successful podcaster named Damien Booster. His bachelor lifestyle is disturbed when one of his frequent hookups reveals that she loves him and issues him an ultimatum to meet her mother at brunch. Damien, terrified of his true feelings, accepts the breakup, but his mind and inner feelings begin to spin out of control with haunting visions of commitment.
As he attempts to deal with his psychological and emotional breakdown, his best friend from his hometown comes to visit him in Los Angeles. Damien tries to show his friend a good time in Hollywood, but his fear of love may get the best of him.
