Pet Sematary II is a 1992 horror film directed by Mary Lambert and written by Richard Outten. The film follows the story of Jeff Matthews, a 13-year-old boy who moves to a new town with his veterinarian father after his mother is killed in a tragic accident on a movie set.
Jeff becomes friends with a local boy named Drew Gilbert, who is dealing with an abusive stepfather. The boys discover a mysterious cemetery behind Jeff's house that has the power to bring the dead back to life. When Jeff's dog is hit by a car, he decides to bury it in the cemetery, and it comes back to life with a newfound viciousness.
The boys continue to experiment with the cemetery, and things start to spiral out of control when Drew's stepfather is killed by a truck. They bury him in the cemetery, and he comes back to life with a thirst for revenge. Soon, the town is overrun with zombie-like creatures, and the boys must find a way to stop them before it's too late.
The film stars Edward Furlong as Jeff and Clancy Brown as Drew's abusive stepfather. Pet Sematary II is a sequel to the 1989 film Pet Sematary, which was based on the novel by Stephen King. While not as critically acclaimed as the first film, Pet Sematary II is a cult favorite among horror fans for its over-the-top gore and dark humor.
