Pelican Blood is a drama film directed by Katrin Gebbe. The story follows Nikko, a birdwatcher who is haunted by the death of his younger brother. In an attempt to cope with his grief, Nikko immerses himself in his passion for birdwatching, but his life becomes complicated when he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Stevie.
Stevie is a passionate environmental activist who leads a group of activists willing to go to extreme lengths to protect animals. Nikko finds himself drawn to Stevie's intensity and they embark on a dangerous and tumultuous romance.
As their relationship progresses, Stevie's radical tactics put Nikko in danger and force him to confront his own self-destructive tendencies. Nikko must decide whether he is willing to risk everything to be with Stevie or if he needs to protect himself and walk away.
