Reconnecting with Gran: A Family's Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding

Comedy,Drama,Romance  United States of America

After Diane's husband asks for a divorce, she takes her two children to their grandmother's farmhouse in Woodstock, where they've never been before. The grandmother, Grace, is a free-spirited hippie who still participates in anti-war rallies and wears flowy clothing. At first, Diane is uncomfortable with Grace's lifestyle and beliefs, but her children quickly take a liking to their grandmother and the town's eclectic inhabitants.

As the family spends more time in Woodstock, Diane begins to question her previous strict and conservative ways. She reconnects with an old friend who owns a local pottery shop and starts a romance with a local musician. She also discovers secrets about her own family's past, including why her mother and grandmother had a falling out years ago.

Throughout the movie, there are themes of forgiveness, acceptance, and finding oneself. The climax of the movie revolves around a music festival that takes place in honor of the town's anniversary, where the family finally lets go of their past resentments. In the end, Diane finds peace with herself and her family as they learn to embrace their differences and accept each other for who they are.
