Drama,Comedy  Canada

Tareq Hadhad is the protagonist of the movie Peace by Chocolate. Before the war in Syria, his family owned and operated the popular Hadhad Chocolate Factory in Damascus. However, when the factory was bombed, Tareq and his family were forced to flee to Lebanon.

After spending years as refugees, Tareq and his family were ultimately granted asylum in Canada. Despite the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and language, Tareq's family quickly took to their new home in the town of Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

One day, Tareq's father Issam began making chocolates again, using the same recipes that had made the family business so successful before the war. The chocolates were an instant hit at the local church, and soon neighbor Frank was able to round up local investors to help the Hadhad family start a new chocolate factory.

However, not everyone in the community was enthusiastic about the Hadhads' success. Local chocolatier Kelly felt threatened by the competition, and began to spread rumors about the Hadhads and their chocolates.

Meanwhile, Tareq found himself torn between pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor and his obligation to the family business. As the Hadhads' business continued to grow and thrive, Tareq was forced to make a difficult choice about his future.

Peace by Chocolate is a heartwarming and inspiring story about perseverance, hard work, and the power of community. Despite facing countless challenges and setbacks, the Hadhads refused to give up on their dreams and ultimately found success and happiness in their new home.
