Forgotten Payment: Uncovering the Truth

Action,Adventure,Mystery,Science Fiction,Thriller  Canada,United States of America

Michael Jennings, brilliantly portrayed by Ben Affleck, is a highly-skilled reverse engineer who can dismantle and re-assemble any electronic device with great ease. He is hired by high-tech companies to work on top-secret projects, usually just for a few months or sometimes for a couple of years, after which his memory is erased so that he can't reveal any confidential information.

When he accepts a three-year project with Allcom, a super-high tech corporation, he thinks he is in for a huge payday. However, when he completes the job, he learns that he has forfeited his entire salary and, instead, has received a large envelope containing a selection of everyday items such as a fortune cookie message and a lipstick. The clue to decode the missing payment is in this envelope - Jennings agrees to take the mystery offer and hands over his mailed mystery instruction package.

However, when he opens the envelope, he is surprised to find that it contains 20 seemingly worthless objects, all of which will prove to be key in uncovering the truth about his missing money, as they are clues that eventually lead him down a path of danger and deception. As he starts to put the puzzle pieces together, he discovers that the project he worked on at Allcom is not what it seems, and that he may have created something that has the power to destroy the world.

In the end, Jennings finds himself on the run from a deadly conspiracy, with only a few hours left before his memory is erased, and he has to use his incredible intelligence to stay alive long enough to unravel the mystery and expose the real culprits behind his missing payment. Will he be successful in his quest, or will his short-term memory loss mean he forgets everything and becomes just another victim of a dangerous plot? You'll have to watch "Paycheck" to find out.
