Patema Inverted is a Japanese animated science-fiction film directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura. The movie explores a world where people live in two different gravitational fields- the surface world, where gravity works as it does here on Earth and the underground world, where gravity is inverted, meaning everything falls up into the sky. The story follows Patema, a curious and adventurous young girl who lives in the underground world and loves to explore the tunnels and the upside-down world.
One day, Patema wanders into a forbidden area where the two gravitational fields meet, and she finds herself falling into the sky, towards the surface world. There, she meets Age, a young boy who lives on the surface, and the two form an unlikely friendship as they try to figure out how to get Patema back to the underground world safely. But as they investigate and discover more about their respective worlds, they uncover sinister forces and hidden secrets that threaten the safety of both worlds.
As Patema and Age work together to unravel the mystery and find a way to save their worlds, they must face numerous obstacles and challenges along the way. The film features stunning visuals, intriguing sci-fi concepts, and a heartwarming story about friendship and bravery.
