Pataakha is a Bollywood comedy-drama film released in 2018. The film is directed and written by Vishal Bhardwaj and is based on the short story Do Behnein by Charan Singh Pathik.
The film revolves around two sisters, Genda "Chhutki" Kumari (Radhika Madan) and Champa "Badki" Kumari (Sanya Malhotra) who are constantly at odds with each other. They argue and brawl over the smallest of things, much to the annoyance of their father (Vijay Raaz). Despite their father's desperate attempts to reconcile them, the sisters remain bitter rivals.
One day, Badki elopes with a man while Chhutki is left to care for their father. Years pass, and the two sisters get married to different men and move away from their hometown. When they meet again after several years, they are surprised to find that they miss each other's company.
The film explores the themes of sisterhood, the corrosive power of resentment, and the eventual healing that comes with forgiveness.
