In the movie Passion Play, Lily (played by Megan Fox) is a beautiful angel with wings who is forced to work for a ruthless gangster named Happy (played by Bill Murray). Happy keeps Lily locked up and uses her as a showpiece to impress his clients.
One night, Lily is taken to a carnival where she meets a down-on-his-luck trumpet player named Nate (played by Mickey Rourke). He is immediately drawn to her and offers to help her escape from Happy's grasp.
Nate and Lily quickly form a deep connection, and Nate becomes determined to protect her at all costs. However, Happy is not willing to let Lily go so easily, and he sends his henchmen after them.
As they try to evade Happy's men, Nate and Lily fall in love and begin to dream of a life of freedom together. But with Happy closing in on them, their future together becomes uncertain.
