Pass Over is a drama film directed by Spike Lee and based on the play by Antoinette Nwandu. The story is set on a Chicago street corner where two young black men, Moses and Kitch, spend their days dodging bullets and dreaming of a better life. The film explores themes of police brutality, racism, and the many social injustices faced by Black Americans.

Moses and Kitch's day is interrupted by the arrival of a white man named Mister, who offers them a slice of heaven and an escape from their difficult lives. However, as the conversation progresses, it becomes clear that Mister has ulterior motives and is not the ally he seems to be. Meanwhile, a white police officer harasses the two men and taunts them with racist jokes, further emphasizing the systemic racism and violence they face on a daily basis.

Throughout the film, Moses and Kitch's conversations are laced with humor, poetry, and a deep sense of despair. Their banter serves as a coping mechanism in the face of constant danger and oppression. As the day progresses, the two men confront their own mortality and grapple with the possibility that their dreams may never come true.

Pass Over is an intense and thought-provoking film that sheds light on the struggles faced by Black Americans in modern-day America. It is a powerful reminder of the systemic racism and violence that continue to plague our society.
