Sizzling Secrets of Parisian Madness

Romance,Comedy  United States of America

Paris When It Sizzles is a classic romantic comedy released in 1964, directed by Richard Quine and starring Audrey Hepburn and William Holden. The movie tells the story of a struggling writer, Richard Benson, who has been given a huge opportunity to write a script for a major Hollywood producer, Alexander Meyerheimer. However, Benson is a notorious drunk and has spent the entire time in Paris getting intoxicated rather than actually writing the script.

With just two days left until the deadline, Meyerheimer realizes that Benson hasn't made any progress on the script and decides to send his secretary, Gabrielle Simpson, to Paris to help him finish it. Gabrielle is shocked to discover the state of Benson's life in Paris and struggles to keep him focused on the script. Despite their differences, the two become romantically involved, and their relationship inspires Benson to finally make progress on his script.

As they work on the script, Benson and Gabrielle act out various scenes from different movie genres, including a western, a detective story, and a musical. As they become more invested in the characters they create, their personal relationship begins to evolve.

The movie ends with Benson frantically typing out the final pages of the script, finally delivering it to Meyerheimer on time. As he reads it, he realizes that Benson has incorporated elements from their personal relationship, and he produces a hit movie based on the script. Benson and Gabrielle end the movie by kissing clearly indicating their love.
