Paris Pigalle is a French crime drama movie released in 2018. The story is set in the early 1980s, during the height of the booming porn industry in Paris. Two undercover cops, Victor and Baptiste, are tasked with investigating a new drug trafficking network that they suspect is operating within the porn industry.
To carry out their investigation, Victor and Baptiste pose as a producer and a cameraman respectively, and infiltrate the porn scene in Pigalle, the red-light district of Paris. They soon find themselves immersed in the world of porn stars, directors, and producers, and discover that the industry is heavily involved in drug trafficking as well as prostitution.
As they delve deeper into the investigation, Victor and Baptiste become personally involved with some of the people they are investigating. Victor falls for Angel, a young and ambitious porn star, while Baptiste develops a relationship with Clara, a veteran actress who is addicted to drugs.
The film portrays the gritty reality of the porn industry and its links to the criminal underworld, as well as exploring the complicated relationships between the characters. It also raises questions about the nature of policing and the ethics of using undercover tactics to gather evidence.
