Paranormal Demons is a found footage horror movie directed by David Bruckner and released in 2018. The film follows a group of six film students from different countries who come together to make a documentary about the paranormal. The students include Jonas, the director of the project; Tara, the sound technician; Paul, the camera operator; Sophia, the researcher; Tarek, the local guide; and Sebastian, Jonas' old friend from film school.
The group is excited when they come across a disturbing video clip on the dark web that seems to show poltergeist phenomena at an abandoned asylum in Eastern Europe. The students set out to investigate the phenomenon, hoping to capture footage of real paranormal activity for their documentary.
Once they arrive, the group initially experiences some creepy noises and strange occurrences. They uncover information about the history of the asylum and its many deaths, often due to unethical medical practices and experimentation. However, they are ultimately unable to capture any convincing evidence of ghosts on camera.
As the group grows more anxious and their relationships become strained, they begin to hear a mysterious voice speaking in a foreign language. As they follow the voice into the asylum, they realize too late that they are being led into a trap by a demonic entity. They become lost in a labyrinthine basement and are picked off one by one by the creature, which is revealed to be a powerful demon.
In the final scene, the sole surviving student, Tara, flees the asylum and collapses on the ground outside. She is shocked to learn that the rest of the group has been dead for weeks, and that she has been possessed by the demon all along. The film ends with Tara wandering off into the nearby woods, leaving her fate unclear.
