Paraíso Perdido is a nightclub that is located in the outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil. It is run by the patriarch of the eccentric family, José, who also performs as a singer at the club. Having suffered losses in his personal life, José has taken to drinking heavily and his performances have lost their spark over the years. However, the other members of the family are determined to keep the club running and to maintain the spirit of the music and the memories associated with it.
Among the members of the family are the transgender son of José, who is struggling with his identity in a conservative and judgmental society.
