Paint is a dark comedy about the rise and fall of Carl Nargle, a public television painter who has a cult following in Vermont. Carl is convinced he has made it to the top of the art world, with his signature perm, custom van, and loyal fans who hang on his every stroke. But when a younger, more talented painter comes on the scene, Carl's empire quickly crumbles.
As the rival artist gains popularity, Carl becomes desperate to hold onto his fans and his fame. He tries to sabotage his rival's career, but only ends up alienating his own fans. Meanwhile, his personal life falls apart as well, as his wife leaves him and his friends turn their backs on him.
Despite all of this, Carl remains determined to win back his fans and prove that he is still the best painter in Vermont. But by the time he realizes the error of his ways, it may be too late to salvage his career or his relationships.
Paint is a hilarious and heartbreaking look at the cutthroat world of art, and the lengths some people will go to in order to stay on top. With a standout performance by the lead actor, this film is sure to leave audiences laughing, crying, and ultimately rooting for the underdog.
