Comedy  United States of America

The movie begins by introducing a typical Jewish family in New York. Martin (played by Saul Rubinek) and Shirley (played by Lainie Kazan) are hard-working and traditional parents who have always dreamt of their son's wedding to a nice Jewish girl. They are unaware that their son, Nelson (played by John Lloyd Young), is struggling with his sexuality and has found love with his boyfriend, Angelo (played by Jai Rodriguez).

Shocked and confused, Martin and Shirley have a hard time accepting their son's homosexuality and non-Jewish partner. They express their disappointment and disapproval, which puts a strain on their relationship with Nelson. However, the couple's love for each other continues to grow, and they decide to move in together.

When they decide to adopt a child, Martin and Shirley's worst fears come true as their personal lives become public news. Reporters start asking them questions, and their friends and family members are constantly bringing up the topic. The situation gets even more complicated when the couple decides to hire a lawyer (played by Vincent Pastore) to help them with the adoption process.

As word spreads, Nelson's older brother, Fred (played by Bruce Vilanch), and his wife, Bonnie (played by Carmen Electra), decide to come to their defense. They join forces with Angelo's parents, Carmine (played by Jai Rodriguez) and Connie (played by Lainie Kazan), who also struggle to come to terms with their son's homosexuality.

Together, the two families come up with a plan to save Nelson and Angelo's reputation and help them adopt a child. They stage a public event showcasing their love and support for the couple, which attracts media attention and helps shift public perception. As a result, the adoption process is successful, and the two families learn that love knows no bounds.

In the end, Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay! is a heartwarming and uplifting story that reminds us of the importance of acceptance and the power of love.
