Brooklyn is a successful matchmaker who runs a small business with her best friend Stephanie. Unfortunately, the business is failing and they struggle to keep it afloat. However, things change when Brooklyn is contacted by a well-known magazine to be featured in an article about successful small business owners.
The magazine sends a writer, Zac, to do the story, but Brooklyn quickly realizes that Zac is the same guy who broke her heart in college. Despite her initial reservations, Brooklyn agrees to work with Zac to save her business. In order to make the article more interesting, Brooklyn offers to set Zac up on a date with her childhood friend, Devin. The only problem is that Brooklyn has feelings for Devin and she doesn't want to see him with anyone else.
As Brooklyn and Zac work together to help the match-making business, their old feelings begin to resurface. Meanwhile, Devin and Zac hit it off, much to Brooklyn's disappointment. However, Brooklyn soon realizes that her happiness isn't dependent on a man and that she needs to focus on herself and her business. In the end, Brooklyn and Zac part ways on good terms, with the promise of keeping in touch, while Devin and Brooklyn start exploring their feelings for each other.
