Over Drive is a 2018 Japanese sports film directed by Eiichiro Hasumi and written by Sayaka Kuwamura. The film revolves around Atsuhiro Hiyama, a skilled mechanic and engineer at Supika Racing Factory, whose goal is to make it to the World Rally Championship.
However, Atsuhiro's younger brother Naozumi, who is a gifted and reckless driver, causes constant arguments between the two. Their relationship becomes more complicated when Hikaru Endo becomes Naozumi's manager and tries to bring him back on track. Meanwhile, Supika Racing Factory faces a huge financial crisis which leads to a race in which the Hiyama brothers participate to save their team.
Throughout the film, the audience experiences the intense world of motor racing, the bond between brothers, and the challenges of chasing a dream while overcoming obstacles. The film features notable performances by Masahiro Higashide, Mackenyu Arata, and Aoi Morikawa.
