The couple, Sarah and Paul Harriman, along with their daughter Hannah, relocate from London to Colombia to take over the manufacturing plant that Paul's father used to run. The plant had been closed down for years, and the family looks forward to starting anew in a fresh environment.
As they settle into their new home, strange occurrences begin to happen. Hannah becomes friends with a little girl who appears to be a ghost, and the family starts experiencing unexplained events, such as doors slamming shut and lights flickering on and off.
The family soon learns that the manufacturing plant and the surrounding area have a dark history, and that the ghosts haunting them have unfinished business. They desperately try to unravel the mystery and save their family before it's too late.
Out of the Dark stars Julia Stiles as Sarah Harriman, Scott Speedman as Paul Harriman, and Alejandro Furth as Dr. Andres Contreras, their neighbor and trusted friend. The film is directed by Lluis Quilez and is a co-production between Spain, the United Kingdom, and Colombia.
