Out of Sight is a crime comedy film directed by Steven Soderbergh and released in 1998. The film stars George Clooney as Jack Foley, a bank robber who escapes from prison and goes on to plan one last heist. Jennifer Lopez plays Karen Sisco, a US Marshal who pursues Foley but finds herself attracted to him.

The story is adapted from the novel of the same name by Elmore Leonard. The film is known for its nonlinear narrative structure, which jumps back and forth in time and shows the characters' pasts and futures.

As Foley and his accomplices prepare for their heist, Sisco crosses paths with Foley in a hotel bar and they share a flirty conversation. Later, when Foley and his partner Buddy (Ving Rhames) are on the run, they kidnap Sisco and bring her along as they attempt to evade the law. Along the way, Sisco and Foley's relationship grows more complicated as they begin to have feelings for each other.

The film features a strong supporting cast, including Don Cheadle as Foley's unpredictable associate Maurice, Steve Zahn as a bumbling crook named Glenn, and Albert Brooks as Sisco's father, a federal judge.

Out of Sight received critical acclaim upon its release and is considered one of the best films of the 1990s. It was also a box office success, grossing over $77 million worldwide. The film's screenplay, performances, and stylish direction by Soderbergh were praised, as well as its sharp dialogue and chemistry between Clooney and Lopez.
