The woman, named Shannon Mathers, is a software engineer who decides to take a solo hiking trip in the mountains as a way to cope with the recent loss of her father. While on her hike, she witnesses four men committing a murder and quickly realizes that she needs to get out of the mountains and report what she saw to the police.
However, the four men soon realize that Shannon saw them and begin to chase her through the forest with the intent to kill her before she can go to the authorities. In her desperate attempt to escape, Shannon crosses paths with a wildlife ranger named Jack Harris, who agrees to help her outrun the dangerous men and find a way out of the forest.
Together, Shannon and Jack navigate the treacherous terrain and fight off the violent criminals, all while trying to avoid getting caught or killed themselves. Along the way, they discover that the crime is part of a larger conspiracy involving corrupt law enforcement officials and must find a way to expose the truth and bring the perpetrators to justice.
