In Out of Body, Mal is a successful business executive who lives a comfortable life with his partner Henry. One day, Mal's body is taken over by a mischievous demon who escaped from the underworld. As a result, Mal's consciousness is left stranded in the spirit world while the demon wreaks havoc with his body in the physical world.
Desperate to regain control of his body, Mal sets out to catch the attention of Henry, who is the only one he can communicate with from the spirit world. However, his attempts are met with comical mishaps, including possessing a series of objects like a toaster and a plant, and accidentally interrupting Henry's therapy sessions.
Meanwhile, the demon in control of Mal's body is causing chaos wherever it goes, including at Mal's workplace and with their friends. The situation becomes even more complicated when Henry starts to suspect that something is off with Mal and begins to investigate.
With the help of a spiritual guide, Mal and Henry finally team up to battle the demon. In a thrilling showdown, they manage to exorcise the demon and restore Mal to his body. Finally reunited, Mal and Henry rekindle their relationship and live happily ever after.
