Our House is a 2018 drama/horror film directed by Anthony Scott Burns. The movie is a loose adaptation of the movie Ghost from the Machine and centers around the character of Ethan (played by Thomas Mann), who is left devastated after his parents die in a car accident. In his grief, Ethan gives up his promising future at MIT and instead dedicates himself to caring for his younger siblings, Matt (Percy Hynes White) and Becca (Kate Moyer).
Ethan's life takes a turn when he starts working on a revolutionary experiment that aims to create a device to capture and harness electromagnetic energy. The project quickly consumes Ethan's life, and he uses his parents' old house as a makeshift lab.
As Ethan works on the experiment, strange occurrences begin to happen in the house. The electromagnetic device seems to be affecting the very fabric of reality, and soon the siblings start to encounter creepy apparitions of their deceased parents.
The film deals with themes of grief, guilt, and the consequences of trying to play God.
