Osombie is a horror-action film directed by John Lyde and co-written by Kurt Hale, starring Corey Sevier, Eve Mauro, and Jasen Wade. The film follows Dusty, a former military man, who travels to Afghanistan to find his missing sister, Jen. On his journey, he discovers that Jen has joined a group of rebels fighting against a growing army of zombie insurgents who have risen from the dead and are led by none other than Osama bin Laden himself.
The film begins with a prologue that explains how Osama bin Laden's body was dumped into the Arabian Sea after he was killed by US Navy SEALS during the raid on his compound. However, instead of staying dead, his body resurfaces and is infected with a virus that reanimates the dead. Bin Laden becomes the leader of a growing army of undead insurgents who are spreading the contagion throughout the country.
Dusty arrives in Afghanistan, hoping to find his sister, who is working as a journalist. While searching for her, he encounters a group of rebels who are fighting against the zombie insurgents. Led by the tough and determined Captain Sinclair, the rebels warmly welcome Dusty into their ranks and enlist him in their mission to stop the undead uprising.
As Dusty and the rebels battle their way through the zombie hordes, they eventually get wind of bin Laden's involvement in the outbreak. They realize that he has been controlling the undead all along, using them as a weapon to continue his terrorist agenda even after his death. Determined to put an end to the madness once and for all, the rebels hatch a plan to infiltrate bin Laden's hideout and neutralize him and his zombie army.
Osombie is an entertaining and over-the-top action film that combines zombie hordes with intense military combat. With a high-stakes premise and a team of likable characters, the film manages to be both incredible and entertaining. While it may not be the most profoundly significant entry into the zombie genre, it delivers plenty of gore, action, and thrills, making it a fun ride for horror fans.
