The retired horse trainer, Ben Crowley, is living alone on his farm after the death of his wife and the loss of his beloved racehorse. One day, he discovers a young runaway girl, named Zoe, hiding in his barn. At first, Ben is skeptical of her intentions and is reluctant to let her stay, but he eventually sees that she has a genuine love for horses and a kind heart.
As Ben and Zoe begin to bond over their shared love of horses, he discovers that she has a natural talent for training them. Together, they work with a wild horse that is in need of rehabilitation and preparation for the upcoming auction. As they train the horse, Zoe's inner turmoil is revealed and Ben becomes her confidant and mentor.
