Only Decent People is a Dutch comedy-drama film directed by Lodewijk Crijns and based on the novel of the same name by Robert Vuijsje. It follows the story of David Samuels, a young man from Amsterdam who is fascinated with black women and their culture. He sees himself as a rebel, going against the norms of his affluent Jewish community.

David is engaged to his high school sweetheart, Naomi, who he finds too boring and conservative. Seeking excitement, he begins his hunt for a "ghetto fabulous queen". His search eventually leads him to the Bijlmer, a predominantly black neighborhood in Amsterdam. There, he meets Rowanda, a beautiful and confident young woman who challenges his preconceived notions of black culture.

As David spends more time with Rowanda, he begins to see beyond her physical appearance and appreciate her intelligence and personality. However, their relationship is met with disapproval from both their communities. David's parents and friends criticize his choices, while Rowanda's friends view David as an outsider.

Only Decent People offers a satirical commentary on issues of race, culture, and identity in contemporary Dutch society. It also explores the complexities of intercultural relationships and the challenges of confronting one's own prejudices and biases. The film features strong performances by actors Jeroen Krabbé, Geza Weisz, and Imanuelle Grives, who plays Rowanda.
