The movie One-Eyed Jacks, released in 1961, stars Marlon Brando as Dad Longworth and Karl Malden as Rio. The film was directed by Brando himself, and was his only directing credit.

The story begins with Dad and Rio robbing a bank in Mexico and then fleeing to a small seaside village. Dad tells Rio that he will go and get a boat to take them to safety, but instead he takes the gold and leaves Rio behind to be captured by the authorities.

Five years later, Rio escapes from prison and goes to California to seek revenge on Dad. He tracks him down to a small town where he is now the sheriff. Dad is married with a family, and has become a respected member of the community.

Rio begins to plot his revenge, but he is sidetracked when he falls in love with Dad's stepdaughter, Louisa played by Pina Pellicer. Dad becomes suspicious of Rio's intentions and tries to protect his family from him. Tension builds between the two men and eventually they face off in a final showdown.

The film is considered a classic Western and is known for its visually stunning landscapes, which were shot on location in California and Mexico. The movie's themes of betrayal and revenge are explored in a slow, contemplative style, which was unusual for Westerns of the time.

One-Eyed Jacks was not a commercial success, but it has since gained a cult following and is considered a must-see for fans of the Western genre.
