One True Loves is a romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The movie revolves around the life of Emma Blair (played by Alison Brie), who is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Jesse (played by Colin O'Donoghue). On their first wedding anniversary, Jesse, who is a professional pilot, goes missing in a tragic helicopter crash while flying in Alaska.
Emma, devastated by the loss of her husband, moves to her hometown in Massachusetts to be close to her family. She spends the next few years mourning her loss and trying to move on. Eventually, she builds a new life for herself and falls in love with her old friend, Sam (played by Justin Chatwin). They get engaged, and Emma feels that she has found love again.
