In the opening scene, Mickey and Minnie are ice skating together and Mickey shows off his impressive skills, including spins and jumps. Minnie is amazed and impressed by his talent.
Meanwhile, Goofy is trying to catch some fish through unconventional methods, including using a jackhammer and a giant net. His comedic attempts at ice fishing provide some comic relief throughout the film.
Donald decides to have some fun at Pluto's expense by strapping ice skates onto his feet and laughing at his clumsy attempts to skate. However, the tables turn when Donald gets into trouble himself.
Donald attaches himself to a kite and is swept away by the wind, eventually ending up in danger of going over a waterfall. Mickey, who has been keeping an eye on his friends, rushes to his rescue and saves him from a dangerous fall.
Throughout the film, the characters engage in various winter sports and activities, including sledding, snowball fights, and building snowmen. The film also features classic Disney musical numbers, including "The Skater's Waltz" and "Winter Wonderland."
