Old Shatterhand is a western movie released in 1964, based on a novel by Karl May. The story takes place in the late 19th century, in the American west. The main character, Old Shatterhand, is a former Buffalo Hunter and explorer, who has become a peace-seeking adventurer. He comes across a fort on the border between the US and Mexico, where a group of soldiers are stationed to keep the peace between settlers and Apaches.

However, tensions rise as a group of renegades, led by a man named Santer, attempt to stir up a war by inciting the Indians to attack the fort. They do so by providing the Apaches with whiskey, which they become addicted to. The renegades convince the Indians that the soldiers are responsible for their addiction and that they should strike back against them.

Old Shatterhand and his friend, Apache chief Winnetou, try to intervene and prevent the war from happening. They know that the renegades' plan is to drive out the soldiers and take over the fort, which they will then use as a base to carry out raiding parties against Mexican villages.

Despite their efforts, the Apaches attack the fort, and a fierce battle ensues. However, the renegades are eventually defeated, and Old Shatterhand and Winnetou manage to broker a peace deal between the Apaches and the soldiers.

The film ends with Old Shatterhand riding off into the sunset, with the promise to continue his adventures and fight for justice and peace in the wild west.
