Now Is Good is a 2012 drama film directed by Ol Parker, based on the novel titled "Before I Die" by Jenny Downham. Tessa Scott (Dakota Fanning), a young girl with terminal leukemia, decides to stop medical treatment and make the most of the time she has left. Tessa compiles a list of things she wants to experience before dying, including trying drugs, stealing, becoming famous, and losing her virginity.

Tessa's father, played by Paddy Considine, is struggling to cope with his daughter's terminal illness. However, her mother, played by Olivia Williams, is supportive and helps Tessa complete her list with the help of her best friend Zoe, played by Kaya Scodelario.

As Tessa begins to cross off items from her list, she meets a boy named Adam, played by Jeremy Irvine, and they begin a relationship. Tessa also reconnects with her estranged grandfather, played by Edgar Canham, as she tries to make amends with her family before she passes away.
