The movie Now and Then follows the lives of four childhood friends who are now in their thirties and have grown apart. The four friends, Teeny, Chrissy, Samantha, and Roberta, decide to get together and reminisce about their childhood memories one summer from 1970. Roberta is a successful doctor but still deals with the trauma of her mother's death.
Throughout the film, the girls reconnect and support each other through their personal struggles. They realize that even though they have grown apart, their childhood memories and friendship are still important to them.
