Nota is a Tamil-language political thriller film directed by Anand Shankar and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja. The movie features Vijay Deverakonda, Sathyaraj, and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles.
The story follows Vinodhan, a corrupt Chief Minister who is facing imprisonment in an illegal assets case. In an attempt to continue his rule, he appoints his son Varun as the temporary Chief Minister. Initially, Varun is disinterested in politics and is only interested in his luxurious lifestyle. However, as he starts to get a deep understanding of the corruption and power play in the political sphere, he gets awakened to the harsh reality of the world and starts working towards bringing a change.
Through his journey, Varun faces challenges from various political players, including corrupt bureaucrats, opposing politicians, and even his own father. As he tries to clean up the system, he realizes the complexities of the political system and that the change he envisioned is not as simple as he thought.
