Not Broken follows the journey of Sarah, a 22-year-old woman who has struggled with dyslexia her entire life. Despite this, she has a passion for art and dreams of becoming a successful artist.
However, Sarah's dyslexia becomes a roadblock in her life, preventing her from achieving her goals and leaving her feeling isolated and alone. Her teachers and family don't understand her condition and constantly label her as lazy and stupid.
Feeling defeated, Sarah turns to alcohol and drugs to cope with her emotions. It's only after hitting rock-bottom that she realizes she needs to make a change. With the help of a therapist and support from her loved ones, Sarah begins to understand that dyslexia doesn't define her and that she can still pursue her dreams.
Through a series of flashbacks, viewers see Sarah's struggles in school and the poor education system that failed her. The film sheds light on the lack of understanding and support for those with learning disabilities and encourages a more inclusive and empathetic society.
