No Rest for the Wicked Movie Plot

Dark Vices: Unveiling the Wicked

Thriller  Spain

No Rest for the Wicked is a Spanish thriller film directed by Enrique Urbizu. The film follows the story of police inspector Santos Trinidad (played by José Coronado) who accidentally gets involved in a triple murder. He becomes the prime suspect of the case and is determined to eliminate the only witness that could incriminate him.

Meanwhile, judge Chacón (played by Juanjo Artero) is assigned to investigate the murders and starts uncovering a web of corruption, drug trafficking, and organized crime. As the investigation progresses, Santos and Chacón realize that they are both involved in a much more dangerous situation than they originally thought.

The film explores themes of corruption, power, and violence while following the stories of these two very different characters who are both struggling to survive in a world that seems to have lost its moral compass. It is a fast-paced, suspenseful film, full of unexpected twists and turns that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

No Rest for the Wicked was well-received by both critics and audiences alike, winning several awards including Best Film and Best Actor at the 2011 Goya Awards, the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars.
