No One Gets Out Alive is a horror movie based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Adam Nevill. The film follows an immigrant named Ambar, who leaves her hometown in search of the American dream. She moves into a boarding house in Cleveland and starts working at a factory.
Ambar soon begins to experience strange occurrences in her room, including eerie noises and ghostly apparitions. She also discovers that her roommates are hiding a dark secret. As she investigates further, Ambar realizes that the boarding house is haunted by an evil entity that feeds on the fear and suffering of its occupants.
Things take a terrifying turn when Ambar and her roommates become trapped inside the boarding house, unable to leave. They must fight to survive the sinister forces that are determined to keep them trapped inside forever.
No One Gets Out Alive is directed by Santiago Menghini and stars Cristina Rodlo as Ambar. The movie explores themes of immigration, the pursuit of the American dream, and the horrors that can be found in unexpected places. It premiered on Netflix on September 29, 2021.
