No Breathing is a South Korean coming-of-age sports film directed by Jo Yong-sun. The movie stars Lee Jong-Suk as Woo-Sang, a talented swimmer who lives in Seoul. He is arrogant, selfish, and is known for his reckless behavior. Kim Jiseok plays Won-Il, his former best friend and rival who lives in the countryside. Won-Il is hardworking, humble, and is dedicated to his studies. Their paths cross when they both enroll in a swimming competition, which is a rite of passage to growing up.

The competition is held in Jeju Island and attracts swimmers from all over South Korea. Woo-Sang and Won-Il meet again after several years of not speaking to each other. Their rivalry is rekindled once again as they compete against each other. They are both motivated by different things. Woo-Sang wants to win the competition to impress a girl he likes and to prove to himself that he is the best. Won-Il, on the other hand, wants to win to prove to his family that swimming is not a distraction to his studies.

During their stay on the island, Woo-Sang and Won-Il get to know each other again. They realize that they have both changed and that they have more in common than they thought. They also meet Jung-Eun, played by Kwon Yuri, a fellow swimmer who becomes the object of their affection. Their friendships, love, and personal growth are tested as they face challenges in and out of the swimming pool.
