Njan Prakashan is a Malayalam language comedy-drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and released in 2018. The film centers around the character of Prakashan, played by Fahadh Faasil. Prakashan is a middle-aged man with a master's degree in nursing, living in a small town in Kerala. He dreams of moving to a foreign country and leading a luxurious life.
One day, Prakashan meets a girl named Salomi (Nikhila Vimal), who aspires to become a nurse and work abroad. Prakashan falls for her and starts to change his life to impress her. He changes his name to P. R. Akash, wears stylish clothes, and starts behaving coolly. He also tells Salomi that he is a successful nurse in Germany.
However, as time goes by, Prakashan's lies catch up with him, and he realizes that he cannot run away from his real life. He eventually learns to accept and appreciate his true self. The film also subtly touches upon the issue of brain drain in India and the aspiration of Indians to move abroad for better opportunities.
