Nimir is a Tamil-language drama film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Namitha Pramod, and Parvatii Nair. The film is a remake of the 2016 Malayalam film, Maheshinte Prathikaaram.
The story revolves around Selvam, a photographer in a small-town who is deeply in love with his childhood sweetheart, Valli. Unfortunately, Valli gets married to someone else, leaving Selvam heartbroken. He tries to move on but struggles to do so.
One day, while he is covering a local festival, Selvam gets into a brawl with a group of rowdies. The incident leaves him humiliated, and he vows to take revenge on the men who attacked him. He becomes obsessed with getting even and starts training to become stronger physically.
As he gets deeper into his plan for revenge, Selvam begins neglecting his job and relationships. He becomes a changed man, full of anger and vengeance, losing sight of everything he had before.
