In the first story, "Terror in Topanga," a woman named Lisa (played by Cristina Raines) heads out of her house late at night to buy cigarettes from a convenience store. She's warned by her husband (William Sanderson) to be careful because there have been reports of a killer on the loose. Along the way, Lisa faces several frightening situations, including a car that seems to be following her and a gas station attendant who seems less than trustworthy.
In "The Bishop of Battle," Emilio Estevez stars as J.J., an expert gamer who spends all his time at the arcade trying to beat a game called "The Bishop of Battle." When he finally reaches level 13, he discovers that the game is much more than just a game.
In "The Benediction," Lance Henriksen plays Father Johannes, a priest in a small town who loses his faith. He decides to leave town and heads out into the desert, hoping to find some sort of clarity. Along the way, he's pursued by a mysterious black pick-up truck that seems to be following him.
In the final story, "Night of the Rat," a family discovers that they have a rat problem in their house. They call in an exterminator to take care of the problem, but soon realize that the rat is much larger and more dangerous than they originally thought. The family must come together to save themselves from the giant rodent.
Overall, Nightmares is a collection of four horror stories that are sure to give viewers some spine-tingling thrills.
