As Juliet settles into her new role as caregiver for Lillian, she starts to notice strange occurrences around the house. Doors and windows are left open, objects move on their own, and odd noises can be heard throughout the night. Lillian dismisses Juliet's concerns, insisting that it is just the house settling or perhaps her own failing memory playing tricks on her.
Despite her misgivings, Juliet stays on and begins to bond with Lillian, listening to stories from her long and colorful life. However, the strange occurrences continue and soon escalate to the point of danger. Juliet discovers hidden passages in the house and begins to suspect that someone else is living there with them - someone who doesn't want them to leave.
