In the movie Night at the Museum, Larry Daley (played by Ben Stiller) is a divorced dad who desperately needs a job to pay his bills and maintain custody of his son. He gets hired as a night watchman at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, where he discovers that the museum comes alive at night thanks to a magical artifact that brings the exhibits to life.
At first, Larry is thrilled by the sight of famous historical figures and extinct animals roaming around, but he soon realizes that managing them is not an easy task.
