In the movie Night at the Museum, Larry Daley (played by Ben Stiller) is a divorced dad who desperately needs a job to pay his bills and maintain custody of his son. He gets hired as a night watchman at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, where he discovers that the museum comes alive at night thanks to a magical artifact that brings the exhibits to life.

At first, Larry is thrilled by the sight of famous historical figures and extinct animals roaming around, but he soon realizes that managing them is not an easy task. He has to deal with the rambunctious Teddy Roosevelt (played by Robin Williams), the mischievous monkey named Dexter, and a group of Roman gladiators who challenge him to a battle.

Things get even more complicated when Larry accidentally breaks the magic artifact and awakens an ancient Egyptian mummy named Kahmunrah (played by Hank Azaria), who plans to use the artifact to take over the world. Kahmunrah enlists the help of other infamous historical villains, such as Al Capone and Ivan the Terrible, to achieve his goal.

With the help of his newfound friends, including a miniature cowboy named Jedediah (played by Owen Wilson) and the love interest Rebecca (played by Carla Gugino), Larry goes on a wild adventure through the museum to save the world from Kahmunrah's evil plans.

Overall, Night at the Museum is a family-friendly action-comedy that combines fantasy, adventure, and history in a fun and entertaining way.
